Lake Country Lodge has been in operation for over 20 years offering Hunters, Fishers, and Wildlife Enthusiasts alike opportunities to enjoy God’s creation in Alaska’s “little switzlerland” on beautiful Lake Clark. We specialize in trophy Yukon Moose, Caribou, Dall Sheep, Wild Buffalo, Brown, Black and Grizzly Bear. As for Fishing, we chase all the wild species of fish the roam the backcountry river and streams. If hunting and fishing has never been of interest to you but you love the outdoors then one of our many Eco-Tours will surely interest you. We are locally owned and operated out of Port Alsworth, AK, 150 miles southwest of Anchorage. We truly specialize in a quality by not overbooking and giving our select number of clients the attention and opportunity to fulfill their dreams. Some come to Alaska to challenge and test themselves against a 11 foot brown bear, others by hiking across a remote uncharted glacier . Still for others its simply escaping the “rat race” by casting their cares away as the make the perfect cast for that perfect rainbow. Whatever your reason for coming to Alaska we have the experience, reputation, skill, equipment and desire to help you accomplish your desires.

Guides:

All of our professional guides have many years of experience in the Alaska wild. Most have grown up here and know the land as their backyard. All guides set camp, cook, clean, as well as cape and clean any game that you, the client, harvest. They will assist in packing the animal to a suitable pickup spot or you can opt to have a packer take care of it all for you.

Our Toys:

We operate several river boats and three aircraft. Two (2) Super Cubs on 30” tundra wheels & one (1) Maule M-7 Super Rocket on floats. These planes provide us the ability to hunt both the high mountains and the low lakes & rivers. Our river jet boats are used for both moose hunting as well as for fishing. Our river rafts and canoes are used for both float hunting and fishing trips.
